Trust Consultation 2025
Formal Consultation with Chrysalis Multi-Academy Trust
Mount Stewart Federation is currently engaged in a formal consultation process with the Chrysalis Multi-Academy Trust (MAT).

The purpose of this consultation is to explore the potential benefits of joining the Trust to further enhance leadership capacity, collaboration, and educational excellence across our federation.
We are committed to ensuring a transparent and inclusive process. All stakeholders, including parents, staff, and governors, will have the opportunity to share their views as part of this consultation.
Details and updates will be published on this page as the consultation progresses.
The Governing Body of Mount Stewart Federation is consulting on a proposal for Mount Stewart Infant and Junior Schools to join Chrysalis Multi Academy Trust, which includes Claremont High School and Sudbury Primary School. The consultation runs until Friday 5th December 2025.
Parents and carers are encouraged to read the consultation documents and share their views via the online survey, at the in-person meeting on Tuesday 26th November (3:30–5:00pm), or the online meeting on Thursday 27th November (5:00–6:00pm).
Full details and documents are available below.
Trust Consultation Update
Following the consultation last term, please read the document summarising the consultation process and outlining responses to the key issues and questions raised.
On behalf of the Governing Body, we would like to thank all parents, carers and staff who took the time to share their views and contribute thoughtfully throughout the process.
We are currently awaiting the Department for Education’s (DfE) decision regarding whether they will approve our request to join Chrysalis. Unfortunately, we have not been given a clear timescale for when this decision will be made.
Once the DfE decision is received, we will be able to confirm the next steps and will share further updates with our school community.
We will, of course, keep the community informed as soon as we receive confirmation from the DfE.
