Art and DT Ambassadors
At Mount Stewart, Art and Design & Technology (DT) are exciting subjects that encourage creativity, problem-solving, and hands-on learning. In Art, our pupils have the opportunity to express themselves through various mediums, from drawing and painting to sculpture, with their work often displayed around the school. In DT, pupils are introduced to design thinking, where they create, build, and innovate using a range of materials and tools. Both of these subjects are about exploring ideas, developing skills, and working together to bring creative projects to life, helping our pupils build confidence and a love for the arts and design. This year our Art and DT Ambassadors are hoping to do this by;
- Helping with Projects: They will create projects for the whole school and assist other pupils in carrying out hands-on projects, from simple construction tasks to more complex designs.
- Promote Art and DT Activities: They will help organise and promote art and DT projects, exhibitions, or competitions within the school, including our Arts and Crafts after-school enrichment.
- Share Ideas and Inspiration: They will be tasked with encouraging creativity and sharing new ideas with classmates, creating displays that inspire others.
- Maintain Art and DT Displays: They will help update and organise displays of our pupills' artwork and DT creations around the school to showcase their peers’ talents.
- Provide Feedback: They will give feedback to teachers about pupils' interests or ideas for new art projects.
We look forward to the year ahead with our Art and DT ambassadors.
