How to Apply for a Reception Place
As a community school, all Reception applications are managed by Brent Council. Parents/carers should apply online via the Brent eAdmissions portal (www.eadmissions.org.uk) following the guidance on the Brent Council website.
- Deadline for applications: 15 January 2026
- Children eligible for Reception in September 2026:
- Born between 1 September 2021 and 31 August 2022

Please note: There is no automatic transfer from Mount Stewart Nursery to Mount Stewart Infant School. A separate application must be submitted via www.eadmissions.org.uk.
Catchment Area
Our admissions are based on Brent local authority criteria. Information about catchment areas is available on the Brent Council website (Education and Schools section). On the catchment page there is a property database where you can enter your address to find out which catchment area you live in.
Oversubscription Criteria – Reception
Where there are more applications than places, Brent Council applies the following priority criteria for Reception:
- Children with Statements of Special Educational Need (EHC plans)
- Looked after children
- Children with special medical or social needs
- Siblings of children already attending Mount Stewart Infant or Junior Schools who live within the catchment area
- Children living within the catchment area
- Siblings of children already attending Mount Stewart Infant or Junior Schools who live outside the catchment area
- All other applicants
