History Ambassadors
At Mount Stewart School, we value History as a vital subject that helps pupils understand the past and its impact on the world today. We are committed to developing confident, curious learners through strong pupil leadership within History.
Our History Leaders play an active role in shaping History learning across the school. They promote enthusiasm for the subject, share ideas with teachers, support their peers, and act as History Champions within the classroom and wider school community.
History Leaders help pupils develop key historical skills across the school including:
- Understanding the past and sequencing events chronologically
- Asking and answering historical questions
- Using and evaluating historical sources
- Exploring cause and consequence, change and continuity, and different viewpoints
- Communicating historical understanding using appropriate vocabulary
Through these roles, our History Leaders ensure pupil voice is valued and that History learning at Mount Stewart School is engaging, meaningful, and purposeful.
