Sport at Mount Stewart Federation: A Pillar of Health and Community

At Mount Stewart Federation, sport is an integral aspect of our educational ethos, playing a vital role in maintaining the health and well-being of our pupils. We are committed to providing every pupil diverse and enriching sports opportunities, extending well beyond the traditional curriculum.

Our dynamic sports program managed in collaboration with Challenge Sports Education (CSE) and led by our dedicated PE team, offers an extensive after-school timetable. These sessions are conducted by professional CSE sports coaches, allowing our students to develop their skills in a supportive and professional environment.

Our sports curriculum highlights the swimming program for Year 4 and 5 students at Valefarm Swimming Pool. This program enhances their swimming skills and allows them to participate in exciting swimming galas, fostering a sense of achievement and teamwork.

Our program frequently offers pupils the chance to engage in competitive play with other local primary schools, fostering a sense of sportsmanship and camaraderie. We embrace pupils of all skill levels and abilities, emphasising that participation in team sports is not just about competition but also about having fun, staying active, and being an integral part of our vibrant community.

At Mount Stewart Federation, we believe involvement in sports, including swimming, is essential for developing a healthy body and mind. We strive to create an inclusive and encouraging environment for all our students to flourish in their athletic pursuits.
