Parent Workshops

Throughout the year, we are excited to offer a diverse array of workshops and sessions specifically designed for parents, aiming to engage, inform, and support you in your child's educational journey.

Our schedule includes:

  • Welcome Meetings: At the beginning of the academic year in September, we organize introductory meetings for parents of each year group to provide valuable insights into the upcoming year's curriculum and expectations.

  • Early Reading and Fluent Readers Workshops: These sessions are tailored to help parents understand and support their child's reading journey, from early phonics to developing fluency.

  • Maths Support Sessions: Aimed at demystifying maths concepts, these workshops offer strategies and tools to help parents support their child's maths learning at home.

  • Tapestry Tutorial Sessions: Learn how to navigate and make the most out of Tapestry, our interactive online learning journal, to stay updated on your child's progress and achievements.

  • Phonics Workshops: Get to grips with phonics, a fundamental block of early reading, through practical advice and tips on supporting your child's phonetic learning at home.

  • SATs Information Sessions: For parents of Year 2 and Year 6 pupils, these sessions provide a clear understanding of what to expect from the SATs, including how to best prepare and support your child.

And many more other relevant workshops throughout the year.

Your insights and suggestions are invaluable to us. If you have ideas for additional workshops or topics you'd like us to cover, please don't hesitate to share them. You can communicate your suggestions directly to your child's class teacher or by emailing the school office at admin@tmss.org.uk

We look forward to your active participation and hope to see you at our upcoming sessions!
