RISE UP is a co-ordinated catch-up approach designed by ourselves, Preston park and Fryent Primary School. The programme is a catch-up focused learning intervention that uses the Rights Respecting Articles to develop speaking and listening skills, reading and writing confidence and maths fluency.  As we are a Silver Rights Respecting School, we are using the articles as a vehicle to engage the children and discuss the big issues facing the world today, from the refugee crisis to climate change.  Please see the  Summary of the UNCRC Articles.

This programme will help your child develop speaking and listening, reading, writing, and maths.  The aims are to develop your child’s engagement, language and confidence to persevere with their learning and maximise their potential in these areas.   

The programme is delivered by  coaches who provides strategic support to motivate, engage and empower children to lead their learning and persevere when being stuck.
