In this fast-changing world, we hope that learning about an additional language will develop their language skills, expose pupils to knowledge of other countries, their language and way of life, as well as teaching tolerance and sparking an interest in other cultures.

Mount Stewart strongly believes in a pupil - led learning environment, where children take responsibility for their learning. To further encourage this skill, pupils are invited to apply for subject leadership roles where they assume responsibilities for helping to create more exposure of Spanish across the school.
