Welcome to the Pupil Reading Champions at Mount Stewart!

This program is a cornerstone in cultivating a vibrant culture of reading throughout our school. As Reading Champions, students lead by example in our libraries, engage enthusiastically with the Accelerated Reader program, and actively participate in reading enrichment weeks. They also play a pivotal role in celebrating events like World Book Day and organising book fairs. These champions are not just avid readers, but also advocates for literacy, inspiring their peers and fostering a lifelong love for reading in our school community.

One of the Champions' upcoming projects will be to help promote a love of reading across the school, by helping to create a 'Friday Book Club' during  class story time! We look forward to sharing our progress!
