School Council

Welcome to our school council! Student councils are a great way for students to take on leadership roles, promote the voice of the student body, problem solve and impact their community. Our school council are elected by their peers and support staff in ensuring all children have a voice. We work together to support our school and wider community through whole school and charity events.



2020 - 2021

More varied lunch menu

  • The School Council decided the lunch menu needed more variety with more options for vegetarians.  School Councillors collected ideas from their classes which fed back to the catering team which resulted in a more varied menu.

2020 - 2021

Pre-loved uniform

  • The School Council are passionate about the environment and wanted to reduce the amount going to landfill.  They were really keen to offer a preloved uniform service to protect and preserve their environment.  They made a video informing parents about preloved uniform.

2020 - 2021

Playtime games

  • The School Council spoke to their classes to get ideas on what they felt they needed in school.  The response was more playtime games.  The School Council designed flyers for a school raffle, requested parents to donate raffle prizes.  They raised over £500.00 and purchased bats and balls, hockey sticks, hula hoops, bean bags and footballs.


2021 - 2022

Reducing litter, which harms wildlife

  • The School Council is are of the litter harming wildlife and is very keen to work protecting the wildlife and animals.  After discussing various ways they can begin to help, they suggested a community litter pick.
